For the last five or so years we’ve been quietly designing things, creating art and writing music together in our studio in any fragment of free time we could find, most of which has only been seen and heard by our closest friends and family.
Like many people, we suddenly had a lot more free time than usual in 2020. We pretty much lived in our studio during the lockdowns, spending our days experimenting with colour, sound and form…
The incredible luxury and privilege of being able to devote weeks and weeks of uninterrupted time to exploring our ideas and our creative process meant that they grew and evolved hugely, morphing into something much more multi faceted, intricate and interlinked.
Over time an epic project began to emerge from the pages of our notebooks and the desire to share it and other projects like it as we continue to grow as artists and creators is what led us to found AYANE Studios. Incidentally AYANE means colourful sound in Japanese (彩音).
Getting to the point where we can share this epic project has been over two years in the making, as it’s taken us a while to figure out all the various facets of it and also how we’re going to attempt to realise it. There is still a lot to figure out, but we’re now at a stage where we are happy to begin sharing our endeavours.
